State Agency & Regulatory Framework

Utah's recreational waterways are dominated by federal land agency management. Lake Powell (Glen Canyon NRA, NPS) prohibits magnet fishing under NPS regulations. Flaming Gorge (Bureau of Reclamation) rules should be verified with the Vernal Field Office. The Green and Colorado River corridors have significant archaeological resources — contact Utah SHPO for finds that may be historically significant.

Waterway Access & Navigability
