State Agency & Regulatory Framework
South Dakota's recreational waterways are dominated by USACE Missouri River reservoirs — check with the Omaha District for project-specific rules at each reservoir. South Dakota's Native American heritage is extensive and many waterways are adjacent to or within areas of significant tribal importance. Found property must be handled per state found property law.
